She is currently Professor of Applied Economics in the Department of Economics and Public Finance at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Among many other academic positions, she has been Vice-Rector of Innovation at the UAM and Vice-Dean of Business Internships at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. In addition, she has held the positions of Head of Studies and Research at the Institute of Fiscal Studies of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Spain and has been President of the Association of Economics of Education (AEDE, Spain)
His research focuses on issues related to social public policies, economics of education, research evaluation, rankings and university financing.
She belongs to the Interuniversity Institute for Advanced Research in Science and University Evaluation (INAECU https://www.inaecu.com/ ) belonging to the UAM and UC3M (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) and is co-director of the Research Group on Economics of Education of the UAM ( https://www.uam.es/uam/investigacion/grupos-de-investigacion/detalle/f1-328 ).
